Two churchgoing best friends in Ohio, a young Catholic woman and a kind-of Baptist young man, find themselves equally thrown when they each have highly unusual experiences on the same day: She gets a visit from a wisecracking Virgin Mary. Yes, the real one. He meets a cute guy at a gay bar.

This was my NYU thesis project, and I'm including it here partly to honor the learning process with Bert, and also to make sure his work is represented somewhere on my personal site. The genre of "gay coming of age" is generally more sophisticated now than when this piece was written, but we did have fun writing this. Actually... we didn't. But we loved each other and these quirky characters.
